TBO and I watched parts of the "Moving Up" marathon this past weekend (on TLC). For those unfamiliar with the program, it's quasi-reality, following three couples that are moving "up" the property ladder into different homes.
The "fun" comes in seeing how each subsequent owner changes the dwelling, then bringing the former owners in and letting the catty comments fly.
TBO has serious issues with opening up spaces. This is trendy now - and it has its merits. But we've consistently seen how people "open up" a space to discover that all the wood is rotting and landing themselves in a $10K quagmire. I am a bit afraid of what might be in our walls, frankly - or what's missing.
So there's also the factor where people look at a house and say "God, that furniture is awful. I hate that paint color. This is unacceptable." Can you say lack of vision? You aren't buying the damn furniture and paint color, folks! (Right, Katie?)
Okay - random rant, basically useless, and that is the beauty of blogging, as it were.
